Description

The ABDOS Swirl Micro Plate Centrifuge is designed for quick and uniform settling of droplets and condensation in microplates. It is suitable for PCR plates, microtiter plates, and deep-well plates, ensuring liquid collects at the bottom of each well for reliable downstream processing. The centrifuge features a compact footprint (approximately 9 × 10 inches), occupying less than half the space of conventional centrifuges. The rotor chamber includes two plate carriers positioned at a 75° angle, allowing easy and secure plate loading without the need for sealing tapes or caps. When the lid is closed, the rotor accelerates and swings the plates into a horizontal position, enabling efficient concentration of droplets into the wells. Operating at a maximum speed of 2550 rpm (600 × g), the centrifuge is suitable for most routine plate-based applications. An automatic electric brake stops the rotor smoothly within 4 seconds when the lid is opened, improving safety and workflow efficiency. The unit operates quietly and is suitable for routine use in molecular biology, PCR preparation, and ELISA workflows.
